Ted Lasso S3

Apple’s popular comedy series “Ted Lasso” is set to return for a three-season sequel, with the season premiere expected to debut in August. Hannah Waddingham, who plays team owner Rebecca Welton on the show, revealed this information at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) to Deadline’s Baz Bamigboye.

While Waddingham initially expressed uncertainty about the exact release date, she mentioned that August seemed likely. She also shared her love for the character of Rebecca and the show’s exceptional writing, expressing her willingness to continue in the role for as long as the series runs.

The future of “Ted Lasso” looks promising, with reports indicating that the stars are committed to three-year pacts. This suggests that the show’s creators have long-term plans for its development. The upcoming seasons are expected to build on the success of the original three-season arc, which concluded in 2023.

Season 4 of “Ted Lasso” is anticipated to introduce new storylines while retaining familiar characters such as Roy Kent and Coach Beard. The focus will shift towards the women’s football team, with Rebecca leading the charge to convince Ted to return to coaching in England.

New faces, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, and Faye Marsay, are set to join the cast, alongside a recast of Ted’s son Henry. The upcoming season is poised to explore intriguing plotlines and character developments, providing fans with fresh and engaging content.

With an expected August release date aligning with Apple’s summer timeline, “Ted Lasso” is primed to captivate audiences once again. The series’ return coincides with the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup, adding to the excitement surrounding its upcoming season.
