Max Verstappen to Compete in Nurburgring 24 Hours Race in a Mercedes-AMG GT3

Renowned Formula 1 World Champion, Max Verstappen, has officially announced his participation in the upcoming Nurburgring 24 Hours race, set to take place this year. The Dutch racing sensation will be behind the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG GT3, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Verstappen expressed his excitement about the opportunity, stating, “The Nurburgring holds a special place in my heart. It is a unique track unlike any other. The Nurburgring 24hr race has been a long-standing goal for me, and I am thrilled that we are able to make it a reality this year. With a strong team comprising of Dani Juncadella, Jules Gounon, and Lucas Auer, along with the unwavering support from Red Bull and Mercedes-AMG Motorsport, I am confident in our chances.”

It is worth noting that Verstappen had previously tested the Ferrari 296 GT3 at the Nurburgring under the alias ‘Franz Hermann’ last year, eventually claiming victory in the NLS race.

Following the conclusion of the Formula 1 season in December, Verstappen was spotted testing a Mercedes-AMG GT3 at Estoril. Although his participation in the Nurburgring 24 Hours race was initially uncertain, his recent confirmation has generated significant buzz within the motorsport community.
