Metal Gear Solid: Ultimate Collection for Switch 2
Konami Releases Patch for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1
Following the recent announcement of the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection 2, Konami has rolled out a comprehensive patch for all platforms for the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1. While primarily addressing bug issues, Nintendo players will receive a free update that includes compatibility with the Nintendo Switch 2.
Master Collection Patch Notes:
The patch introduces a new “Resolution” option in the Screen settings within the Options menu. Players can now choose between “Original”, “High Resolution”, and “Max Resolution”. Note that on the PlayStation®4 and Nintendo Switch™ versions, only “Original” and “High Resolution” are available.
- Fixed sound issues for certain codecs on the Nintendo Switch™ version
- Addressed other minor bugs and made various adjustments
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty Updates:
- Added support for the Nintendo Switch™ 2
The Nintendo Switch™ version will receive a free update to enable compatibility with the Nintendo Switch™ 2. The update includes the following enhancements:
Screen settings:
Players can now adjust screen settings from the Options menu, including choosing presets or custom settings for resolution. These settings cannot be modified after starting the game to prevent instability. Players are advised to revert to default settings or try TV mode if issues arise.
Presets available:
1. “Original Mode” – Displays the game at its original resolution.
2. “Adjusted Mode” – Renders the game at the highest possible resolution for sharper visuals.

Similar to Metal Gear Solid 2, players can now adjust screen settings, choose presets, or customize resolution settings.
