NINJA GAIDEN 4 DLC “The Two Masters” Release Date Announced

Xbox Game Studios, Team Ninja, and PlatinumGames have confirmed the release date for the upcoming downloadable content for NINJA GAIDEN 4 titled “The Two Masters.”

The highly anticipated DLC is set to launch on March 4th, providing players with an exciting extension to the main game. It will be available as part of the Deluxe Edition of the game.

Let’s delve into what players can expect from this new content and take a look at the accompanying trailer:

“The Two Masters” expansion focuses on the ongoing battle between Yakumo and Ryu against formidable fiends that threaten to once again engulf the world in chaos. Upon completing the main storyline, players will unlock new chapters that delve deeper into the characters’ journeys, pitting them against even more challenging enemies, bosses, and trials that will put their ninja skills to the ultimate test.

This DLC introduces two new weapons to the arsenal of Yakumo and Ryu. Yakumo will wield the “Solitaire” scythe, ideal for crowd control and cutting down hordes of enemies, while Ryu gains the “Jakotsumon” serpent gauntlets, perfect for swift and close-quarters combat, offering new strategies to defeat opponents.

In addition to the narrative content and new weapons, players can anticipate the arrival of Abyssal Road, an endurance-style mode featuring 100 unique combat encounters that escalate in intensity. This mode challenges experienced players with a mix of enemies from the base game and DLC, introducing new mechanics such as Special Blood Essence and Frenzied enemies that dynamically alter battle conditions.

Furthermore, the update will bring various quality-of-life enhancements, balance adjustments, and bug fixes, including improvements to combat responsiveness, new options for weapon set customization, and fixes across multiple chapters to ensure a smoother gameplay experience.

Players who are currently progressing through the game will have access to the new weapons of Yakumo and Ryu midway through their campaign. To unlock the Abyssal Road challenge mode and new Trials, players must complete “The Two Masters” story campaign at any difficulty level.

NINJA GAIDEN 4 was initially released in October 2025 for Windows PC (available on Steam and the Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Stay tuned for our review!
