Oppo and OnePlus Phones See Increase in Prices

In the coming days, Oppo and OnePlus are set to raise prices for their current smartphone models in at least one major market.

It’s evident that smartphone prices are on the rise in 2026. Manufacturers have openly discussed the challenges posed by the AI boom and its impact on memory component prices.

Unexpectedly, Oppo has announced a “price adjustment” for some of its existing products and all OnePlus phones to maintain product quality and user experience.

These price increases will take effect in China from March 16. Oppo will only adjust prices for its more affordable phones in the A and K series, excluding models like the Oppo Find X9 Pro and Oppo Reno 13 Pro.

All OnePlus devices, including the OnePlus 15, are expected to receive price hikes.

Potential Price Increases Outside of China

We have reached out to Oppo to clarify whether the planned price adjustments will also affect Oppo and OnePlus phones sold in the UK.

Currently, the company has stated that “The supply chain capacity and cost pressures driven by the growth of the AI industry pose a common structural challenge for all smartphone manufacturers,” emphasizing the industry-wide impacts.

Oppo’s decision follows reports that the OnePlus 16 is facing a substantial 25% price increase in China.

Meanwhile, Samsung has raised prices for the Galaxy S26 series, despite offering minimal upgrades compared to the previous Galaxy S25 models.

In the UK, the Xiaomi 17 series maintains the same price as its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15, but the company has hinted at upcoming price hikes.
