Anno 117: Pax Romana Multiplayer Details Revealed by Ubisoft

Ubisoft has unveiled new information about the multiplayer modes in Anno 117: Pax Romana, showcasing the various ways players can engage with each other in the game. Players will have the option to compete against each other, collaborate, and even embark on the game’s campaign together. Ubisoft has also confirmed that mods will be supported in multiplayer, although all players must have the same mods installed for compatibility.

In Anno 117: Pax Romana’s PvP mode, up to four players can participate in intense battles to secure prime locations, form alliances, and wage war against each other. For those interested in cooperation, the co-op mode allows players to assume the role of a shared governor, dividing responsibilities and working together to ensure the prosperity of their faction. Additionally, players can combine PvP and co-op elements by forming teams of four governors to compete against each other. Multiplayer sessions will be invite-only, requiring players to have friends on their list to join the fun. A new feature in the game includes co-op live save games, enabling players to continue their cooperative adventures solo and invite friends to rejoin at a later time. Anno 117: Pax Romana will also support cross-play functionality.

When it comes to DLC releases, all players will need to own the content for multiplayer compatibility. The game will introduce a day and night cycle, enhancing the immersive gameplay experience. Notably, Anno 117: Pax Romana will not include text or voice chat features.

Anno 117: Pax Romana is set to launch on November 13th for PS5, Xbox Series XS, and PC platforms.
