Racing for Redemption: Drive to Survive on Apple TV
Apple TV and Netflix are set to simultaneously stream the highly-anticipated eighth season of the popular F1 documentary series, F1: Drive to Survive. This marks a significant milestone as the series, previously exclusive to Netflix, will now be available on both streaming platforms starting Friday. Excitingly, Netflix will also offer its US subscribers live coverage of the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix weekend from May 22nd to 24th, providing fans with an immersive viewing experience of this prestigious sporting event.
In a notable shift, F1 races, once aired on ESPN, are now making their way to Apple TV. F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali expressed his optimism about the sport’s expanded reach through Apple, hinting at even greater opportunities in the future. This strategic move aims to tap into a more mature market and test new waters. Additionally, Apple boasts the critically acclaimed F1 movie led by Brad Pitt, which garnered significant recognition with a Best Picture Oscar nomination and is currently in the works for a sequel, adding to the excitement surrounding the F1 universe.
