Regera Owner’s Critique Sparks Koenigsegg CEO’s Response
Recently, Koenigsegg found itself embroiled in a social media controversy when a disgruntled Regera owner took to Instagram to vent about the hypercar’s reliability issues.
A post by @the.hamilton.collection featured a manipulated image of the Koenigsegg CEO with a caption expressing frustration and alleging lack of response from the brand. The post also mentioned receiving numerous complaints from other Koenigsegg owners.
In response, Christian von Koenigsegg clarified that the Regera in question had only been at the dealership for 3 days, contrary to claims of a month-long service. He also revealed that the customer had a pending payment for a new Jesko, which was ready for delivery.
Subsequently, @the.hamilton.collection shared a follow-up video addressing Christian’s statements.
Christian acknowledged that high-performance cars like Koenigsegg’s can face early production challenges but assured that continuous updates and improvements are part of the company’s commitment. He also pointed out that the Regera was purchased from a used car dealer and had not been serviced for three years, potentially missing out on crucial updates.
