Surprise, Poker Night at the Inventory is returning to Steam next month in remastered form

Exciting News: Poker Night At The Inventory Making a Comeback!

It was approximately 15 years, two months, and 14 days ago when Quintin Smith (rest in peace) announced the release of ‘Poker Night At The Inventory’ on this very site. Fast forward to today, February 5th, and we’re thrilled to share that this beloved card game is set to make a comeback!

The news of the game’s return took many of us by surprise, with Skunkape Games unveiling a remastered version of the 2010 classic that had quietly disappeared from Steam. Mark your calendars for March 5th, as that’s when the revamped Poker Night At The Inventory will be hitting the virtual shelves. Prepare for some intense poker action!

The iconic characters from Team Fortress 2, Sam & Max, Homestar Runner, and Penny Arcade will once again gather around the table for a high-stakes game. Will Heavy, Max, Strong Bad, and Tycho be able to outwit the newcomer this time? Only time will tell as they engage in their signature banter.

This remastered version promises a more realistic poker experience, with opponents making decisions that align with their unique personalities. The game has also undergone a visual overhaul, featuring higher resolution models, enhanced animations, and new lighting effects. Plus, players can customize settings like buy-ins and chat frequency to suit their preferences.

But wait, there’s more! Fans of Team Fortress 2 will be delighted to know that some of the coveted in-game items from the original Poker Night are making a comeback. Get ready to unlock the Iron Curtain minigun, Enthusiast’s Timepiece watch, Crimestomper Combo pistol/badge, and Dangeresque, Too? sunglasses once again.

Despite its flaws, he praised the game’s affordability and charming animations.
