Amazon has unveiled a new feature designed to enhance the AI tools available to online sellers. The “dynamic canvas” in Amazon’s Seller Central offers personalized dashboards and real-time scenario planning to assist sellers in making informed decisions.

This new tool complements the existing Seller Assistant, an AI chat interface introduced by Amazon in 2024 with subsequent upgrades to enhance its capabilities.

Mary Beth Westmoreland, Amazon’s Vice President of Worldwide Selling Partner Experience, described the dynamic canvas as a significant advancement, likening it to having a knowledgeable financial advisor for sellers.

Other e-commerce platforms are also integrating AI tools to improve user experience. Shopify’s Magic and Sidekick AI assistants, as well as Walmart’s Wally tool, are examples of this trend.

For Amazon, the stakes are high as independent sellers account for a significant portion of the company’s sales. Third-party seller services have generated substantial revenue for Amazon, highlighting the importance of effective AI tools.

While some sellers have expressed concerns about the AI tools, internal data indicates a high acceptance rate of Seller Assistant’s recommendations, demonstrating its effectiveness.

The new canvas feature provides sellers with visual representations of data and insights, allowing for a deeper understanding of recommendations and scenario planning.

Sellers can now access performance analysis tools through the canvas, with additional features such as marketing optimization and inventory planning set to be added in the future.

Amazon’s innovative approach to AI integration, utilizing models like Nova and Claude, sets the Seller Assistant canvas apart from traditional templates, providing a dynamic and personalized experience for users.
