Honda Australia Unveils First Electric Vehicle: The 2026 Super-One

Honda Australia has officially announced the arrival of its first electric vehicle (EV), the adorable new Super-One, showcased at the Tokyo Mobility Show in Japan.

The 2026 Honda Super-One, measuring less than 3.6m long and 1.6m wide, is set to hit local showrooms in the second half of 2026 following Honda’s local testing program completion.

According to the company’s media release, the Super-One will debut with the advantage of thorough local and international testing to ensure optimal performance in Australian city centers.

The Super-One Prototype, revealed at the Tokyo Mobility Show, is a near-production model based on the camouflaged Super EV concept showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year.

The Super-One is expected to offer a Boost Mode feature, providing an instant power surge when the driver accelerates, accompanied by simulated engine sounds for a familiar driving experience.

Honda has emphasized the importance of ensuring the Super-One’s compatibility with various EV charging solutions, indicating that it may support both AC and DC charging options along with connected charging infrastructure.

Described as a vehicle focused on driving enjoyment, the Super-One boasts a sporty exterior design with a tall, boxy profile, wide stance, beefy fender flares, and aerodynamic enhancements like front and rear air ducts.

Inside, the Super-One features eye-catching white, black, and blue upholstery on front sports seats, with a dashboard layout designed to enhance the driver’s focus on the road.

The Honda Super-One is positioned as a larger and more powerful iteration of the new Honda N-One e, an all-electric version of the popular kei car model in Japan.

While kei cars are not common in Australia, the Honda Super-One aims to deliver an engaging driving experience with its unique features and design elements.
