Carmageddon: Rogue Shift Patch 0 Update Notes

  • Bug fixes and performance enhancements have been implemented to ensure a seamless initial gameplay experience for all players.

  • Improvements in lighting and optimization have been made to enhance visual quality.
  • Collision detections have been refined for smoother gameplay.

  • Enhancements in blood effects and logic have been reworked for a more immersive experience.
  • Visuals and geometries of various vehicles have been improved.

  • Boss vehicles now leave trails, and final boss attack visual effects have been polished.

  • Tutorials have been revamped, and the End Run screen has been polished for better user experience.

  • An audio system for vehicle integrity has been implemented, along with enhanced sound effects for side bashing, boosting, and weapons.

  • Improvements have been made in the cinematic to gameplay transition for a seamless gaming experience.

Unfortunately, some last-minute regressions may cause the following issues:

  • “Cycle Camera” and “Horn” inputs are inverted in the Controls screen.
  • Flickering of the central square of the weapon lock indicator when multiple targets are simultaneously locked.
  • Occasional missing HP bar from Piccolo Enforcers and some Special Wasted.
  • Occasional flickering shadows.
  • Incorrect proportions of opponent indicators on the minimap on certain small screens like the Steam Deck.

Looking ahead, 34BigThings has outlined the key features expected in patches one and two. Patch one will introduce a bonnet cam for players to get a closer view of the action. Patch two aims to implement a Challenge mode with various modifiers, including tougher opponents, resource scarcity, deadlier enemies, and no retries. Additionally, the team is working on adding steering wheel support in patch two.
