New Open World Game “Samson” Set to Release in Early 2026

Published on: Steam

Overview

Recently, Christofer Sundberg’s Liquid Swords studio unveiled “Samson,” a gritty open-world game based in the city of Tyndalston. The protagonist, Samson, finds himself buried in debt and must undertake various jobs to clear his dues or face the consequences. The game’s main storyline is estimated to be around 10 hours, with exploration potentially extending gameplay to 25 hours. While “Samson” is slated for release on consoles, it will first debut on PC.

Game Details

“Samson” is anticipated to hit the market with a price tag of $24.99, offering a single-player experience without multiplayer or microtransactions. The game will feature localization in different languages for text only, as voice acting will remain unlocalized. Players can unlock new perks and utilize environmental items for combat, with vehicle warfare playing a significant role. Drawing inspiration from the Just Cause series, “Samson” aims to deliver a more grounded and unpredictable gameplay experience.

Gameplay Features

Players can expect dynamic responses from the city based on Samson’s actions. Law enforcement will escalate based on player behavior, with civilians reacting to in-game decisions. Police chases will be intense, focusing on tension rather than spectacle, adding depth to the gameplay experience. Vehicle handling will vary, catering to different playstyles and enhancing immersion.
