Samsung Galaxy S26: The Exynos Chipset Dominates Qualcomm and Apple Competition

Samsung is rumored to be making a bold move by using its custom Exynos chips for the upcoming Galaxy S26 smartphone launch. According to reliable leaker Ice Universe, the tech giant is considering equipping the entire Galaxy S26 series with the new Exynos 2600 chip, potentially replacing the impressive Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip that has been performing well in early benchmark tests.

While Samsung has previously used its custom Exynos chips in select regions, the performance and efficiency have often fallen short compared to Qualcomm-driven models. Analyst Junkanlosreve claims that Samsung has made significant strides in the system on chip (SoC) department, with the Exynos 2600 boasting 6 times better NPU performance for AI tasks compared to the A19 Pro used in the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
