Our Verdict
After a hiatus following the launch of the Galaxy Tab A9 and A9+, Samsung has introduced a new generation of budget tablets with the Galaxy Tab A11 series. However, the lack of significant upgrades compared to its predecessors leaves much to be desired. While the Galaxy Tab A11+ remains a functional and user-friendly budget tablet, competitors in the same price range offer more compelling features.

Best Prices Today: Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+
Following a year-long break, Samsung has returned with the Galaxy Tab A11+ as the next iteration of its budget tablet lineup.
The jump from the Galaxy Tab A9 series to the Galaxy Tab A11 series bypassing the A10 series is a strategic move by Samsung, building anticipation for significant upgrades. However, the lack of substantial changes and incremental improvements continue to be a recurring theme with Samsung’s budget devices over the years.
Design & Build
- Clean but familiar design
- No fingerprint sensor
- Available in only Grey or Silver
Samsung’s design language for the Galaxy Tab A11+ remains unchanged from its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab A9+. The tablet features a mostly-metal, flat-edged chassis with the Samsung logo positioned on the back. The dimensions of the Galaxy Tab A11+ remain identical to its predecessor, making it a full-sized tablet that is easy to carry around. The absence of a fingerprint sensor is a downside, requiring users to rely on facial recognition or passcode for security. The tablet is available in Grey or Silver color options.

The inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack and tactile volume and power buttons adds to the usability of the tablet. However, the lack of color options compared to its predecessor may disappoint some users.
Screen & Speakers
- Very familiar 11in FHD+ LCD display
- Up to 90Hz refresh rate
- Quad speakers with Dolby Atmos
The Galaxy Tab A11+ retains the same 11-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a 90Hz refresh rate. While adequate for a budget tablet, the display quality may not meet the expectations of users looking for vibrant colors and sharpness. The screen struggles with off-angle viewing, resulting in dim and distorted visuals when not viewed head-on.

On the audio front, the tablet features quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support, providing a more immersive audio experience. However, the budget nature of these components may limit the overall audio quality.
Specs & Performance
- Mediatek Dimensity 7300
- 6GB RAM
- 128GB or 256GB storage
The Galaxy Tab A11+ is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 7300 processor, a chip commonly found in budget smartphones. Paired with 6GB of RAM, the tablet delivers decent performance for everyday tasks. However, the 6GB RAM may fall short for more demanding applications compared to tablets with 8GB of RAM.
Despite the budget nature of the tablet, performance remains reliable, allowing users to switch between multiple apps with minimal lag. Benchmark results show a noticeable improvement in multi-core performance compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab A9+.

Gaming performance is limited to light gaming due to the tablet’s modest specifications. While basic games can run smoothly, more graphically demanding titles may struggle on the Galaxy Tab A11+.
Storage options include 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, with the option to expand further via a Micro-SD slot. The tablet is available in a Wi-Fi-only variant in the UK.
Cameras
- 8Mp rear camera
- 5Mp front camera
The Galaxy Tab A11+ features an 8Mp rear camera and a 5Mp front camera, similar to its predecessor. While these cameras are suitable for basic photography and video calls, they may not deliver high-quality images or videos. The lack of advanced features like OIS and limited resolution support may limit the camera’s capabilities.

Jon Mundy / Foundry
The camera quality is reflective of the tablet’s primary focus on casual usage rather than photography or videography.
Battery Life & Charging
- 7040mAh battery
- 25W charging
- No brick in the box
The Galaxy Tab A11+ is equipped with a 7,040mAh battery, offering a full day of mixed usage. The improved battery life is evident in benchmark tests, with the tablet lasting nearly 10 hours in a simulated productivity workload test. While the tablet’s battery performance is commendable, its intended use for casual media consumption and web browsing aligns with its capabilities.
The tablet supports 25W charging, providing a faster charging experience compared to its predecessor. However, users need to provide their own compatible charger for optimal charging speeds.
Software & AI
- Android 16
- One UI 8
- Seven years of software support
The Galaxy Tab A11+ runs on Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8 interface, offering a modern and user-friendly experience. Samsung guarantees software updates and security patches for up to seven years, ensuring long-term support for the tablet. The tablet’s UI is visually appealing and feature-rich, although users accustomed to a cleaner Android experience may find it slightly overwhelming.
