Google Photos Coming to Samsung TVs in 2026

Samsung has announced that Google Photos will soon be available on their TVs, starting with an integration set to launch next year. This move aims to seamlessly bring users’ phone-captured photos to Samsung TVs, offering a larger and more cinematic viewing experience. The goal is to deeply integrate Google Photos into the TV viewing experience.

Exclusive Features for Samsung TVs

While there is currently no native TV app for Google Photos, Samsung’s upcoming integration will first introduce a Memories feature to showcase curated collections of photos and videos on their Tizen OS-powered TVs in March 2026. This feature will be exclusive to Samsung TVs for six months before becoming available on other platforms.

Exciting AI Features Coming Soon

Following the Memories feature, Google Photos will introduce search and generative AI image features in the second half of 2026. The “Create with AI” function will offer themed templates using Nano Banana technology, along with AI image generation and editing tools like Remix and Photo to Video. Additionally, “Personalized Results” will enable users to view slideshows based on specific topics or content.

Simple Setup and Future Prospects

Samsung promises a straightforward setup process for the Google Photos integration, requiring users to sign in with their Google account on their TV to access their saved images. While Samsung aims to be the first to offer these features, it’s expected that other TV providers will follow suit once exclusivity agreements expire.
