Sharge Icemag 3: The Ultimate Solution to Wireless Power Bank Woes
When MagSafe technology first entered the scene, it revolutionized the way I charge my phone. No longer do I need to fumble with cords; I simply place my smartphone on one of the many wireless charging stands scattered throughout my home. However, this convenience doesn’t translate well to on-the-go charging.
While there are plenty of MagSafe-equipped power banks available, they often struggle to provide a seamless charging experience due to one major issue: heat. Wireless charging tends to generate more heat than traditional wired charging, which can be problematic when the charger is attached to the back of your phone. The excessive heat can cause charging slowdowns or even lead to a quicker depletion of battery life.
A Unique Solution
Sharge’s Icemag 3 power bank tackles this heat issue head-on by incorporating a built-in cooling fan. Unlike its competitors, the Icemag 3 boasts a distinctive design with a glass back panel. A transparent window at the bottom provides a glimpse of the internal components and the cooling fan in operation. Additionally, a vertical kickstand allows for adjustable viewing angles.

What sets the Icemag 3 apart is its fan, which not only provides cooling but also puts on a vibrant RGB light show when the power bank is in use. This feature certainly grabs attention in public, with many onlookers expressing curiosity or even skepticism. The power bank’s edgy design, while sleek and unique, can raise eyebrows – especially at airport security checkpoints, where I encountered inquiries about it. Fortunately, the lights can be turned off by long-pressing the power button.
Turn the power bank on, and the fan kicks off not just with a noticeable whir, but also a full-spectrum RGB light show
The Icemag 3’s standout feature is its Qi2 charging pad, which supports fast 25W charging speeds for compatible phones like the iPhone 17 and Google Pixel 10 series. The power bank can sustain these high speeds without overheating, thanks to the effective cooling fan. Additionally, the Icemag 3 offers a USB-C port for 35W charging and a built-in USB-C cable that can be converted into a loop. All charging outputs can be used simultaneously, allowing for the charging of up to three devices at once.
With a total capacity of 10,000mAh, the Icemag 3 can fully charge many flagship phones twice on a single charge.
Minor Drawbacks, but Highly Recommended
While the Icemag 3 excels in many areas, it does have a couple of shortcomings. The metal kickstand, although functional, feels flimsy and unstable at times. Additionally, the power bank does not support pass-through charging, meaning it cannot be used as a wireless charging stand while being charged itself.
Despite these minor issues, the Sharge Icemag 3 remains a top choice for a fast and reliable Qi2 power bank. Priced at £59.44/$79.90, it offers excellent value for money, especially considering its innovative features and performance.
Sharge continues to impress with its innovative products, proving that phone accessories can be both functional and stylish.
