Madrid-based HealthTech company, Tucuvi, has secured €17 million ($20 million) in Series A funding to expedite the adoption of its AI-based care management platform in healthcare systems. The funding round was led by Cathay Innovation and Kfund, with participation from existing investors Frontline Ventures, Seaya Ventures, and Shilling.

CEO of Tucuvi, María González, emphasized the importance of trustworthy AI in healthcare systems to meet the increasing demand for quality care at scale. The company is already collaborating with over 60 healthcare organizations to address the challenges faced by the healthcare industry.

This Series A funding for Tucuvi aligns with the trend of European capital flowing into AI-driven healthcare platforms in 2025–2026. Other notable investments include Warsaw-based startup Jutro Medical, which raised €12 million to expand its network of physical clinics and implement medical AI agents in telemedicine workflows.

Tucuvi’s focus on certified voice AI and end-to-end care management workflows aims to enhance care capacity and operational efficiency in healthcare systems. By deploying software directly into existing systems, the company addresses workforce shortages and care complexity.

The Tucuvi platform transforms clinical guidelines into reliable AI workflows, allowing healthcare professionals to focus on cases that require high-value clinical judgment. This approach enhances patient interactions and streamlines care processes.

Tucuvi’s AI-powered Care Management platform automates high-volume care workflows and supports various healthcare tasks, including post-surgical follow-up, chronic disease management, and appointment scheduling.

Cathay Innovation commended Tucuvi for combining clinical rigor, regulatory credibility, and scalability in its platform. The company’s ability to deploy autonomous AI agents with confidence sets a new standard for integrating AI into healthcare operations.

Tucuvi is the first AI platform to receive European regulatory approval as a Class IIb Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), highlighting its commitment to safety and quality in healthcare.

The platform has shown significant results in healthcare systems, including up to 80% automation of nursing follow-up flows and improved patient outcomes in chronic diseases.

With the new funding, Tucuvi plans to expand its presence in Europe and the United States, enhance its AI capabilities, and further develop its platform to support care teams effectively.
