Splitgate: Arena Reloaded Rises Again on December 17th!
Splitgate: Arena Reloaded Set to Launch on December 17th
1047 Games has officially announced that the highly anticipated relaunch of Splitgate 2 is scheduled to take place on December 17th. The game will be reintroduced under a new name, Splitgate: Arena Reloaded, with significant changes to its gameplay mechanics and overall branding.
Splitgate: Arena Reloaded marks a strategic shift in gameplay direction compared to its predecessor, Splitgate 2. The removal of Factions and Abilities associated with them signifies a return to the roots of classic arena shooter combat. This revamp also includes a complete reconstruction of the game’s progression system and a revamped Ranked mode for competitive play.
Players can expect to explore five brand new maps and experience six fully reworked maps in Splitgate: Arena Reloaded. The introduction of new Arena modes, such as the Classic Arena mode featuring balanced starts and powerup mechanics, aims to enhance the overall player experience. Additionally, the game will feature three new Primary Weapons and a powerful Railgun as a new addition to the arsenal.
In response to player feedback, 1047 Games has reduced store prices, streamlined the battle pass system, and improved the quality of in-game cosmetics. These changes are designed to create a more enjoyable and rewarding gaming experience for both new and returning players.
Design Director of 1047 Games, Josh Watson, expressed the team’s dedication to honoring the legacy of arena shooters with Splitgate: Arena Reloaded. He stated, “Splitgate has always been a love letter to the arena shooters we grew up playing. We’ve been hard at work rebuilding the game from the ground up, taking the best of Splitgate 1 and Splitgate 2, removing what didn’t work, and refining what did.”
Splitgate: Arena Reloaded is set to launch on December 17th across multiple platforms, including PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One. The developers at 1047 Games are eager to see how the community responds to the relaunch and are hopeful that the game will regain the popularity and success of its initial open beta tests.
