Audible syncs ebook reading and audiobook listening to keep you focused

Audible Introduces Immersion Reading Feature for Enhanced Audiobook Experience

A new feature launched by Audible on Wednesday aims to revolutionize the way readers engage with audiobooks. The “immersion reading” feature allows users to simultaneously listen to an audiobook while following along with the ebook version. By tapping the “Read & Listen” button in the Audible app, users can seamlessly transition between listening and reading, with the text being highlighted in sync with the audio.

Benefits of Immersion Reading

This innovative feature not only helps readers concentrate on their books but also enhances reading comprehension. It is particularly beneficial for individuals struggling to stay focused while reading. Moreover, for those learning a new language, Audible’s immersion reading feature supports a wide range of languages, including German, Spanish, Italian, French, and English.

Availability and Expansion

Immersion reading is currently rolling out to users in the US, with plans to expand to the UK, Australia, and Germany in the near future. To utilize this feature, users must own both the audiobook and ebook versions of a book. Notably, Spotify has also entered the realm of immersive reading with its “Page Match” feature, allowing users to sync their current reading position in an ebook or print book with the corresponding timestamp in the audiobook.
