Square Enix Announces Life is Strange Game Reveal Livestream

Square Enix has officially scheduled the date and time for the highly-anticipated reveal of the next installment in the Life is Strange series. Fans can mark their calendars for Tuesday, January 20th, at 10am PST / 1pm EST / 6pm GMT / 7pm CET to catch the live unveiling of the new game.

The teaser on the YouTube trailer simply teases, “Separate the real from the rumor… Join us for the exclusive reveal of the next Life is Strange game.” However, what has captured the attention of many is the title of the placeholder page which hints at “Life is Strange Returns in 2026.”

Adding to the excitement, last week, the PEGI ratings board accidentally leaked details about the upcoming game titled Life is Strange: Reunion. The leaked synopsis revealed a compelling storyline involving the return of beloved characters Chloe Price and Max Caulfield, hinting at a gripping narrative set in Caledon University.

It seems that nostalgia may play a significant role in the new game’s plot, as fans are drawn back to the familiar themes of friendship, time travel, and difficult choices.

Since the success of Life is Strange 2, the development of the series has been in the hands of Deck Nine, with Square Enix and original developer Dontnod exploring new projects. Following the release of Life is Strange: Double Exposure in 2024, which revisited Max Caulfield’s story, the franchise has continued to captivate players with its unique blend of storytelling and gameplay mechanics.

In a recent review, the game was praised for its ability to maintain the essence of the series while introducing new twists and challenges. Players can expect a seamless experience with a compelling narrative and intriguing gameplay features.
