2026 Ford Ranger Super Duty deliveries starting early in Australia

Introducing the Ford Ranger Super Duty: Customer Deliveries Begin Ahead of Schedule

Exciting news for truck enthusiasts as Ford Australia has announced that the first customer deliveries of the highly-anticipated Ford Ranger Super Duty are starting earlier than expected. Ford Australia president and CEO Andrew Birkic confirmed the news, stating that the rugged pickup is set to arrive ahead of schedule, with deliveries commencing later this year.

The Ford Ranger Super Duty, initially slated for release in Australia in early 2026, has generated significant buzz since its official launch announcement earlier this month. The vehicle, which was first revealed in April 2025, has already garnered attention for its impressive specifications and capabilities.

Unlike its predecessors, the Ranger Super Duty will be available in a range of variants, including single-cab, extended-cab, and dual-cab body styles. The lineup will feature cab/chassis configurations, with prices starting at $82,990 before on-road costs.

All models of the Ranger Super Duty will come equipped with a powerful 154kW/600Nm turbo-diesel 3.0-litre V6 engine, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the vehicles will boast locking front and rear differentials, as well as a braked towing capacity of 4500kg, setting a new standard in its class.

Named after Ford’s iconic F-Series trucks, the Ranger Super Duty promises to be the most rugged and capable Ranger model to date. With a reinforced chassis, larger fuel tank, wider tracks, increased ground clearance, and eight-stud wheels/hubs, this truck is built to tackle any terrain with ease.

The development of the Ranger Super Duty was driven by the need to provide heavy-duty customers with a mid-size truck that could handle demanding tasks efficiently. After identifying key pain points in the market, Ford set out to create a vehicle that could carry nearly two tonnes of payload, tow up to 4.5 tonnes, and excel off-road, all while offering the peace of mind of a full factory warranty.

One of the standout features of the Ranger Super Duty is its unmatched towing capacity, which surpasses anything currently available in the Australian market. With no direct rivals in its class, this truck fills a unique niche for customers seeking a high-performance vehicle with exceptional capabilities.
