The Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear: Breaking Records on the Racetrack

The Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear is a hypercar designed for the ultimate performance on the track. This exceptional vehicle recently made headlines by setting a new record at the prestigious Goodwood hill climb event. Following this achievement, the track-focused version of the Jesko went on to establish a new fastest lap time at Laguna Seca.

Setting the Pace at Laguna Seca

During the record-breaking lap at Laguna Seca, Koenigsegg’s factory test driver, Markus Lundh, expertly maneuvered the Sadair’s Spear to complete the circuit in an astonishing time of 1 minute and 24.16 seconds. Despite the challenge of having to add a heavy muffler to comply with the strict noise regulations on the day, the hypercar showcased its exceptional speed and agility.

A Limited Edition Marvel

With only 30 units slated for production, the Sadair’s Spear is a rare gem among hypercars. It boasts a custom-designed aero package featuring an active double-blade rear wing, refined underfloor strakes, and wheel arch louvres. Additionally, the vehicle incorporates larger canards, hood vents, and hood scoops that not only enhance its aerodynamics but also contribute to improved engine performance.

The Heart of the Beast

Powering the Sadair’s Spear is a formidable twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers an impressive 1625 horsepower when fueled with E85, a significant increase from the base 1300 horsepower. Furthermore, the hypercar weighs 35 kg less than the standard Jesko, resulting in a remarkable power-to-weight ratio that exceeds 1:1, further enhancing its performance capabilities.
