Game Pass is now available on DAZN after being moved there a couple of seasons ago (no DAZN plan required). DAZN is a global sports streaming service restricted only in the USA and China, making it a comprehensive option for NFL fans worldwide.
In 2025, Game Pass continues to offer games with US broadcast commentary and halftime analysis. The service also includes NFL shows like Hard Knocks and A Football Life, along with the ability to download and watch games offline.

What are NFL Blackout games?
One important consideration for Game Pass users is the existence of broadcasting blackout rules. Not every game will be available live on the platform due to these rules. Sky Sports has priority for certain games, meaning they can only be watched on Game Pass 24 hours later.
According to DAZN, this blackout rule applies to two Sunday games each week, one at 6 pm and one at 9 pm kickoff. However, certain games are exempt from blackout, including:
- All Monday, Thursday, and Sunday night games
- All US Thanksgiving Day games (Thursday 27 November)
- All Playoff games
- Super Bowl LIX
- Any postseason games
While blackouts are a downside, Game Pass can be used abroad without the need for a VPN, as long as you’re not in the US or China.
How to watch NFL for free (Channel 5)
For UK NFL fans looking for a more affordable option, Channel 5’s expanded coverage is a great option. The network has increased its NFL programming, allowing fans to watch games on Sundays for free.
Previously, Channel 5 only showed free-to-air games on Monday nights, requiring viewers to stay up late or record the games. However, with the new multi-year deal, fans can now enjoy NFL games on Sundays via Channel 5, including 6 pm and 9 pm kickoffs.
It’s important to note that Sky Sports has priority picks for these time slots, with the later kickoff airing on 5 Action, a digital-only channel. Channel 5’s enhanced NFL coverage will be hosted by Dermot O’Leary, Sam Quek, and Osi Umenyiora, with a new “NFL: Big Game Night” format for the early game.
This unique format involves teams of friends and family competing in the studio, representing NFL teams on the field. Prizes include trips to NFL cities, making it a fun and engaging way to watch the games.
During the 2025 season, Channel 5 will also air several events free-to-air, including International NFL London and Dublin Games, Thanksgiving Day specials, three playoff games, and Super Bowl 2026.

NFL Game Pass on Amazon Prime Video and YouTube
In a new development for 2025, NFL fans can now access Game Pass on Amazon Prime Video (200+ games) or YouTube (250+ games) as an add-on channel subscription.
On YouTube, the subscription costs £31.99 per month (cancel anytime) or £169.99 for the season. However, it’s important to note that the DAZN app cannot be used with this option.
Game Pass on Amazon Prime Video is available in several countries, including the UK, Germany, France, Australia, Mexico, and Brazil. The subscription price is £31.99 per month, cancel anytime.
Tip: Opting for the full season option on YouTube provides better value for money.

Watch NFL on Sky Sports
Sky Sports remains the primary destination for NFL broadcasts on television in the UK. With a dedicated NFL channel on Sky (Sky 407 / Virgin Media 507) and games also shown on Main Event, Sky offers extensive coverage of the sport.
A new three-year agreement has further expanded Sky’s NFL coverage, with nearly 50% more games available to viewers. Sky has the first pick of games for 6 pm and 9 pm kickoffs over Channel 5, providing additional options on channels like Sky Sports+ and Mix during those time slots.
Some weeks will feature three simultaneous games at the 9 pm slot, offering fans an immersive viewing experience. Sky Sports will also broadcast all NFL International games in London and Europe, including Ireland and Spain.
Other regular features, such as Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night games, Monday Night Football, live NFL RedZone, Thanksgiving games, playoffs, Pro Bowl, Super Bowl, Fantasy Live, NFL Network content, and more, continue to be part of Sky Sports’ NFL coverage.
