Twins Take the Wheel: Gemini’s Arrival on Android Auto
Google is gradually integrating its new AI assistant, Gemini, into all of its apps, including Android Auto. This means that Android users will soon be able to interact with Gemini while driving, using natural language.
Gemini has already been integrated into Google Maps, allowing users to ask for information about restaurants along their route and receive directions. The AI assistant can also assist with sending messages, summarizing grouped messages, accessing Gmail accounts, and providing information from other apps like Calendar.
In addition to its practical functions, Gemini can also help users create playlists based on specific conditions, act as a tour guide by providing facts about destinations, and even assist with last-minute speech writing.
To access Gemini on Android Auto, users simply need to have the Gemini app on their phone and can then use voice commands or press the voice control button on the steering wheel. The AI assistant supports 45 languages and can translate messages in real-time.
Overall, Gemini offers a more conversational and intuitive experience for users while driving, making it easier to stay focused on the road. Its integration into Android Auto will enhance the overall driving experience for Android users.
