The Capricorn 01 Zagato: A Driver-Focused Masterpiece
The Capricorn Group, based in Germany, has created the ultra-driver-focused Capricorn 01 Zagato, showcasing their expertise in engine components and aerodynamic design. With a history of crafting special vehicles like the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato and supplying lightweight components to motorsports teams, Capricorn’s craftsmanship shines through in the 01 Zagato.
Exterior and Performance
The exterior design of the Capricorn 01 Zagato combines sleek lines crafted by Zagato with engineering work by Capricorn, resulting in a driver-focused masterpiece. Featuring unique elements like a double bubble roof, sculpted fenders, and almond-shaped headlights, the 01 Zagato exudes a signature Zagato look. The body houses a supercharged Ford V8 engine that has been enhanced by Capricorn to deliver outstanding performance, with a power output of 887 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque.
Constructed from carbon fiber, the Capricorn 01 Zagato is lightweight yet powerful, boasting a top speed of 223 mph and acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in under 3.0 seconds. The car features gullwing doors, 21-inch wheels, and innovative aerodynamic elements like a front splitter and rear diffuser to generate downforce without large wings.
Classic Mimical Interior

Inside the Capricorn 01 Zagato, a classic mimical interior awaits, designed by Capricorn to prioritize driver engagement. The analog centerpiece cluster, central rev counter, and leather-covered seats exude luxury and performance. With titanium and aluminum machined switch gear, adjustable steering wheel column, and pedals, the interior offers a comfortable and immersive driving experience.
Exclusivity and Production

The Capricorn 01 Zagato is a limited production model, with only 19 units hand-built in Germany. Priced at $3.15 million (€2.95 million), the 01 Zagato is set to be sold in select markets, including the EU, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Capricorn plans to expand its production capacity by 2026 to accommodate up to 100 to 200 supercars and hypercars annually, showcasing their commitment to excellence and innovation.
