Vibrant Visions: BMW M Drive Tour 2025 Showcases Colorful M Cars
The BMW M Drive Tour: A Tradition of Showcasing Excellence
The BMW M Drive Tour has established itself as a beloved tradition that has spanned several years. This event serves as a platform for the BMW brand to highlight the impressive depth of its M portfolio and the diverse range of configurations available. Recently captured images from Bulgaria offer a glimpse into the current lineup of fan favorites.
Enthusiasts who participate in this event are treated to a unique experience. BMW arranges test drives that allow attendees to test various M models and immerse themselves in the distinctive personalities of each. The M2 exudes playfulness, while the M5 shines as a versatile all-rounder, particularly in its Touring form.
Notable highlights from the photo gallery include a special M4 CS and an M2 equipped with M Performance Parts. The G87 model features a carbon fiber body kit and a center-exit titanium exhaust. The presence of the M4 Convertible, a rare sight at such events, adds to the excitement, with a couple of G83 models making an appearance. Choosing a favorite from this impressive lineup proves to be a challenging task, but the M5 wagons hold a special allure. The G99 model seems to embody all the qualities that most car enthusiasts desire.
While BMW has not specified which cars were equipped with manual gearboxes, the possibility of a few models featuring three pedals adds to the excitement. However, it is worth noting that the M4 Convertible and M5 are only available with automatic transmissions due to their xDrive configuration. Despite M’s affirmation of continued demand for manual transmissions, the future of the 6MT gearbox appears uncertain as the automotive industry shifts towards electrification to meet stringent emissions regulations.
For enthusiasts who still relish the experience of manual gear shifting, there is still time to enjoy this feature in select M models. The production of the M2 and M4 is expected to continue until mid-2029. Conversely, the days of the M3 are numbered, with reports suggesting that the G80 model will be phased out by early 2027. While the successor to the G84 has been announced, there are indications that it may only be available with an automatic transmission.
Besides the transmission options and the diverse range of M models, the images from the event also highlight the vibrant Individual color palette. The array of colors resembles an M-themed Skittles festival, with occasional Frozen matte finishes for those seeking to make a bold statement.
