New Additions Coming to Highguard’s Website Following Recent Layoffs at Wildlight

Highguard’s website recently displayed an “unavailable” message shortly after news of layoffs at Wildlight, sparking concerns of potential issues. However, the situation seems to be under control as the studio has just announced exciting new updates set to launch this week.

Among the upcoming additions is a new base named Cloudreach and a raid tool called the Lockpick, both scheduled to be included in an upcoming patch later this week. Cloudreach stands out for housing a massive airship, which promises to add a dynamic element to battles with its strategic positioning. The deck surrounding the airship offers defenders an elevated vantage point for sniping, while also enabling quick access to generator rooms for close-quarters combat, as described by Wildlight.

On the other hand, the Lockpick isn’t your typical lockpicking tool – it’s a dart gun designed to temporarily disable doors and windows, giving your team a tactical advantage. Additionally, the patch will introduce a new mount called Moonbruin, reminiscent of Baldur’s Gate 3’s Owlbears.

Wildlight also hinted at their ongoing work on the next patch, which aims to introduce a new game mode focused on the Raid experience, along with weapon balance adjustments and other improvements. The studio’s commitment to enhancing the gameplay experience is evident in their continuous updates.

Despite the temporary website disruption, Highguard’s operations remain unaffected, with the recent patch announcement reassuring players of the game’s stability. The studio’s official Discord admin clarified that resolving the website issue is currently of low priority, emphasizing their focus on delivering engaging content to the players.
