Facial Recognition: The Key to SwitchBot’s Deadbolt Smart Lock
SwitchBot Introduces Innovative Lock Vision Series at CES
SwitchBot has recently unveiled the new Lock Vision series, a cutting-edge deadbolt smart lock that offers convenient unlocking through facial recognition technology. Similar to the Keypad Vision launched previously, this new series promises near-instant unlocking by scanning the user’s face.
Unlike SwitchBot’s previous smart lock models that could be retrofitted over existing locks, the Lock Vision is designed to be installed directly into the door, replacing traditional locks. It features Matter-over-Wi-Fi connectivity for seamless integration with Apple Home. The lock comes with a rechargeable battery that can last up to six months on a single charge, with an additional backup battery that has a lifespan of up to five years.
The Lock Vision series offers two variations, each providing a range of unlocking options. Users can choose from facial recognition, passcodes, app control, geofenced auto-unlocking, NFC card access, or traditional physical keys. Additionally, the Lock Vision Pro model offers advanced features such as fingerprint scanning and contactless palm-vein recognition.
