Samsung Galaxy A57 back

Samsung has recently unveiled its latest mid-range phones for 2026, the Samsung Galaxy A57 and Samsung Galaxy A37. These phones come as a refresh to last year’s models, with some minor upgrades and tweaks. The Galaxy A57 is now slimmer and offers better performance, while the Galaxy A37 remains largely unchanged.

Last year, Samsung’s mid-range devices, including the Galaxy A56 and A36, were solid but lacked any standout features. With increasing competition in the mid-range smartphone market, Samsung needed to make a statement with its new releases. While the Galaxy A57 and A37 aren’t major overhauls, they do offer some enhancements that set them apart.

The Galaxy A57 and A37 come with improved AI capabilities, offering features like Voice Transcription for real-time transcribing and AI Select for on-screen suggestions. The phones also include the Auto Trim feature for quick video editing and upgraded Bixby assistant for detailed conversations.

In terms of camera upgrades, while the sensors remain the same as last year, the Image Signal Processor has been improved for better image processing. Samsung has also enhanced its Nightography mode for improved low-light performance.

Both the Galaxy A57 and A37 now come with an IP68 rating for improved durability, allowing them to withstand water submersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. The Galaxy A57 is slimmer than its predecessor at 6.9mm, while the A37 retains its previous design.

The Galaxy A57 is powered by the new Exynos 1680 chipset, offering significant performance improvements over its predecessor. It also features a larger vapour cooling chamber and a 512GB storage option. On the other hand, the A37 gets the Exynos 1480 chipset, which was previously found in the Galaxy A55.

In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37 offer incremental upgrades and enhancements over their predecessors, aiming to stay competitive in the mid-range smartphone market. If you’re considering upgrading to a new handset in 2026, these phones provide reliable options with some notable improvements.
