Gradiant secures $300m in semiconductor fabrication contracts

Gradiant Leads in Water Management Contracts for Semiconductor Fabrication

Gradiant has recently secured a series of lucrative contracts to support water management at semiconductor fabrication facilities across the United States. The total value of these new agreements has now reached an impressive $300 million since the start of 2026.

The contracts involve the management of five semiconductor fabrication sites located in New York, Virginia, Idaho, and Utah. The projects encompass a range of solutions including ultrapure water (UPW), high-recovery wastewater treatment, local scrubber reclaim, and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems.

These initiatives are strategically designed to reduce freshwater demand, promote water reuse, and facilitate uninterrupted production at semiconductor facilities that are operating in regions facing increasing water scarcity challenges.

Gradiant’s Comprehensive Approach to Water Management

Gradiant’s CEO, Prakash Govindan, emphasizes the critical role of water in semiconductor manufacturing, particularly in the context of rapidly evolving technologies such as AI data centers and high-bandwidth memory.

Gradiant distinguishes itself by offering end-to-end water management solutions, encompassing ultrapure water production, advanced wastewater treatment, scrubber reclaim systems, complex stream treatment, and ZLD processes. This holistic approach ensures accountability and efficiency in water management.

The company’s success in securing repeat business from existing customers underscores the effectiveness of its technologies. Notably, Gradiant is engaged in the second phase of a high-recovery wastewater facility at one of the world’s largest semiconductor fabrication sites.

Advancing Semiconductor Production Through Water Innovation

Water plays a pivotal role in semiconductor fabrication, necessitating the use of ultrapure water and sophisticated treatment systems to handle wastewater and promote water reuse.
