Rockstar Games has revealed that the current-generation upgrades for Grand Theft Auto V will be available for free on Xbox and PlayStation platforms.
Starting June 18th, players who own the game on Xbox One or PlayStation 5 can upgrade to the current-generation version at no additional cost.
Previously, when Grand Theft Auto V was first released, owners of the previous generation versions had the option to upgrade to the new version for $10. However, PC owners received the upgrades for free, along with exclusive features like ray traced ambient occlusion and global illumination.
Alongside the free upgrade, a new update titled “Kortz Center Heist” for Grand Theft Auto Online will be launched.
