Frostpunk 2 DLC “Fractured Utopias” Set to Launch in December

Exciting news for Frostpunk 2 fans as 11 bit studios has announced the release of the first post-launch downloadable content for the game. The new DLC, titled “Fractured Utopias”, is scheduled to launch on December 8th across all supported platforms.

This new content expansion for Frostpunk 2 focuses on the core concept of the Utopia Builder mode, providing more structure, expanding the scope, and highlighting the significance of player choices. Players can expect new mechanics that give each faction a distinct ideological goal and various ways to pursue it. However, as with any dream of a perfect society, there are always costs involved.

One of the key features of the DLC is the introduction of unique faction Utopias, each with its own set of systems, tools, and endgame content. Players will have the opportunity to unlock specialized laws, buildings, and abilities as they earn the trust of each faction. By unlocking all nodes of the Utopia Tree, players can enact a singular vision for their city, binding the entire society to a single path forward and resolving all tensions permanently.

The “Fractured Utopias” DLC includes:

• 8 unique faction Utopias
• 12 unique unlocks per faction
• 8 new faction hubs
• 8 faction-specific variants of housing districts
• Over 100 new narrative events
• 2 premium Tales: “Doomsayers” and “Plague”
• 1 new map

Since its release, Frostpunk 2 has been available on Windows PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, as well as on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC Game Pass.
