Trump Mobile T1 Phone

During the previous summer, Eric Trump and Don Jr. made headlines by introducing Trump Mobile, the latest venture by the Trump Organization. The flagship products of Trump Mobile at the time were The 47 Plan, which offered 5G service to any smartphone starting at $47.95/month, and the T1 Phone, initially set for release in August 2025. The T1 was advertised at a total price of $499, with TrumpMobile.com accepting $100 deposits since the announcement.

Following the unveiling, doubts arose regarding the feasibility of the T1 Phone ever being released. Initially promoted as “Made In The USA” with specifications that industry experts deemed unattainable through domestic manufacturing alone, the T1’s early images closely resembled an iPhone. One picture even resembled a Samsung S25 Ultra in a Spigen case, complete with the Spigen logo. Subsequently, the “Made In The USA” claims were revised to “Designed with American values in mind” and “…brought to life right here in the USA.”

The skeptics’ suspicions seemed to have merit. As of last month, all references to a delivery date for the T1 were erased from TrumpMobile.com. Furthermore, on April 6, a Pre-Order Deposit Terms and Conditions page emerged, stating:

A preorder deposit provides only a conditional opportunity if Trump Mobile later elects, in its sole discretion, to offer the Device for sale. A deposit is not a purchase, does not constitute acceptance of an order, does not create a contract for sale, does not transfer ownership or title interest, does not allocate or reserve specific inventory, and does not guarantee that a Device will be produced or made available for purchase.

However, a recent update suggests a change in the narrative. Trump Mobile CEO Pat O’Brien informed USA Today that the T1 phones will commence shipping this week, with all pre-ordered phones expected to be delivered in the coming weeks. This development indicates a potential turnaround. CNET’s content director received an order update for his T1 stating “Awaiting Sim Assignment.”

The future will reveal whether Trump Mobile’s T1 successfully reaches consumers. If it does, tech editors will undoubtedly subject it to rigorous testing. Stay tuned for further updates and reviews.
