Exciting News: Of Ash and Steel to Receive Major DLC
Fire & Frost, the developer behind the popular game Of Ash and Steel, has officially announced the upcoming release of a significant DLC. This new expansion, titled Shattered Faith, promises to bring a fresh and exciting gameplay experience to players.
One of the most notable features of the Shattered Faith DLC is the introduction of magic to the game. Players will now have the opportunity to explore two different schools of magic: the Order of the Seven, specializing in fire-based abilities, or the Free Hunters, who harness the power of nature as a weapon.
Alongside the addition of magic-based combat, Shattered Faith will also introduce six new locations in the world of Grayshaft. Players can look forward to exploring areas such as the Old Port and a treetop Hobster settlement. Additionally, Tristan, the protagonist, will have access to hidden areas through Ancient Knowledge.
As players delve into the new content, they will encounter a variety of formidable foes, including banshees, falsestumps, and other corrupted creatures. To enhance gameplay further, the DLC will feature 50 random events, 12 perks, a new card game, guild creation options, weapon enchanting mechanics, and a range of new weapons and armor to discover.
Fire & Frost has also confirmed that both Of Ash and Steel and the Shattered Faith DLC will be available on next-gen consoles, specifically the PS5 and Xbox Series XS.

In a review of Of Ash and Steel, Steve expressed his thoughts on the game, stating, “It’s a bit of a cop-out to say that this is a game for fans of the genre, but it is entirely appropriate with Eurojank. If you’ve ever played and enjoyed a Piranha Bytes game, then Of Ash and Steel is easy to recommend, especially given the patches and improvements since release. It’s also a good entry point for newcomers to the subgenre, though you will still need to tolerate some teething problems. If the game gets its teeth into you then it’ll become your new obsession. For others, however, they’ll bounce off the game and go back to more polished and forgiving titles.”
