MG 4 Urban gets $2000 cashback offer, now $29,990 drive-away

The MG 4 Urban Electric Hatchback Offer

The MG 4 Urban electric hatchback is currently available with a $2000 cashback offer. Additionally, customers who place an order for a vehicle at the upcoming Everything Electric show in Sydney this weekend will also receive a $500 charging card.

Valid until September 30, this promotion brings the price of the MG 4 Urban Essence 43 down to $29,990 drive-away, making it more affordable than the GAC Aion UT priced at $31,990 drive-away nationally. Similarly, it undercuts the Geely EX2 Inspire, starting from $30,990 before on-road costs.

The MG 4 Urban, a city-focused electric hatchback, entered the Australian market in April 2026. Its first deliveries commenced in June the same year.

Key Features of the MG 4 Urban Essence Models

The entry-level Essence 43 model is equipped with a single electric motor generating 110kW of power and 250Nm of torque to drive the front wheels. Its 43kWh lithium iron phosphate battery offers a claimed WLTP range of 316km.

Furthermore, the $2000 cashback offer extends to the MG 4 Urban Essence 54 variant, lowering its price to $32,990 drive-away. This model delivers 118kW of power and the same 250Nm torque, with a larger 54kWh battery providing a WLTP range of 405km.

The primary distinctions between the two models lie in their battery capacity, power output, and driving range, while they share identical standard features.

Standard Equipment and Safety Ratings

Both Essence models come equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, wireless phone charging, and a six-speaker sound system. Additionally, a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 360-degree camera are included.
