Reminiscing on a social media trend where individuals shared topics they could discuss for 30 minutes unprepared, I reflect on my diverse interests such as the US Marines, evolving influence dynamics, sourdough starter, and the Oregon Ducks. However, my ultimate passion lies in delving into the intricacies of Stephen King’s Dark Tower series, particularly starting with “The Gunslinger.” The series tracks Roland Deschain, the last gunslinger, as he pursues the enigmatic man in black across various dimensions and timelines in a bid to save the world. Central to the narrative is Roland’s struggle to preserve his essence and purpose in a world transitioning inexorably. The recurring theme underscores the inevitability of change and the choice between adaptation and stagnation.
