Apple has highlighted three key changes to the Find My app in iOS 27:

The new sharing options in Find My offer more flexibility, allowing users to control the duration and timing of location sharing. You can now customize sharing durations or set specific end times. Additionally, it is possible to pause sharing with individuals without affecting others.

A notable improvement allows users to hide their location from specific individuals discreetly, without triggering any notifications. This feature enables users to manage location sharing more discreetly and selectively.

In previous versions, users could only disable location sharing entirely, which affected all contacts. In iOS 27, it is now possible to customize location sharing for individual contacts, providing greater control.

Users can easily toggle the “Hide Location” option on each contact’s card within the Find My app. When location sharing is paused, the recipient will see a “No Location Found” message.

Design Enhancements

The UI of Find My in iOS 27 has been revamped with a sleek Liquid Glass interface. The app now features a redesigned tab bar that aligns with Apple’s design language, offering a cohesive visual experience.

Users will now find more detailed location information directly on the main page of the app, eliminating the need to access individual profiles for specific location details.

Additionally, new iconography has been introduced in iOS 27, such as the AirTag-style icon for the “Items” tab within the Find My app.

Apple Watch Integration

For Apple Watch users with cellular capabilities, location sharing will seamlessly transition to the Apple Watch when users are away from their iPhone or iPad.

The Apple Watch now features a unified Find My app that consolidates people, items, and devices into a single interface for enhanced convenience.
