Google Photos’ new video editor makes it more like Capcut

Exciting Updates to Google Photos Video Editing Features

Google Photos app users on Android and iOS can look forward to a revamped video editing experience. The latest update includes a redesigned editor, new templates for highlight reels, and the ability to add custom text overlays and music to individual videos.

Enhanced Highlight Reel Options

Highlight reels, which automatically compile selected photos and videos into a single video, have been improved. Previously, the feature had limited editing capabilities and style options. The new version introduces themed templates with built-in music and text overlays that sync seamlessly with your content. It’s important to note that these updated features are currently exclusive to Android users.

Revamped Video Editor

Google has also updated the video editor within the Photos app. The new design includes a universal timeline for trimming and organizing clips, reminiscent of popular video editing apps like TikTok’s Capcut and Instagram. Users can now easily add custom text and music to their videos, thanks to a revamped user interface for browsing music within Google Photos.

Rolling Out Now

The improved video editor and expanded music library are currently being rolled out on both the Android and iOS versions of the Google Photos app. Some users may already have access to these new features, enhancing their video editing capabilities.
