Toyota Unveils Limited-Run GR Yaris Morizo RR at Tokyo Auto Salon

Toyota Reveals Limited-Production GR Yaris Morizo RR

Toyota, the renowned Japanese car manufacturer, recently unveiled a new limited-production version of the GR Yaris at the prestigious Tokyo Auto Salon. While many anticipated the debut of a new MR2, Toyota surprised enthusiasts with the GR Yaris Morizo RR instead.

The GR Yaris Morizo RR is a unique creation inspired by Akio Toyoda, the company’s chairman, and his alter ego, Morizo. This special edition pays homage to Toyoda’s experience at the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race in 2025, where he drew inspiration for the exclusive features of this model.

Distinctive elements of the GR Yaris Morizo RR include a Gravel Khaki paint finish, matte bronze wheels with yellow brake calipers, a carbon fiber hood, and a prominent rear wing derived from the race car design.

Inside the Morizo GR Yaris, enthusiasts will find a microsuede-covered steering wheel, unique paddle shifters, and a digital gauge cluster displaying the bespoke Morizo drive mode. This mode, replacing the standard gravel setting, controls the all-wheel drive system.

Under the hood, the GR Yaris Morizo RR boasts a 257-horsepower 1.6-liter turbo three engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Enhanced performance features include retuned suspension dampers and power steering, influenced by Nürburgring track performance.

While the Morizo RR model will not be available in the American market, Toyota plans to produce only 100 units for each market in Japan and Europe, catering to exclusive car enthusiasts.
