A McLaren W1 prototype has been spotted undergoing testing in Spain, showcasing its impressive capabilities on a winding public road.
As the successor to the iconic P1, the McLaren W1 boasts a cutting-edge powertrain that includes a brand-new 4.0-liter V8 engine coupled with a hybrid system. This setup delivers a staggering 1,258 horsepower and 988 lb-ft of torque.
Constructed on a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque, the McLaren W1 tips the scales at a mere 1399 kg, resulting in an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 911 PS per tonne. McLaren claims that the W1 can accelerate from 0 to 124 mph in just 5.8 seconds.
