Apple MacBook Neo laptops fanned out to show the color lineup.

The much-anticipated launch of Apple’s new entry-level MacBook Neo has finally arrived. Customers who pre-ordered this sleek laptop are already receiving their deliveries, while those who didn’t pre-order can still purchase it in person at Apple retail stores worldwide. Despite limited online availability, the MacBook Neo is now in stock in all colors and configurations at Apple stores.

In addition to the MacBook Neo, Apple has released several other new products today, including the iPhone 17e, M4 iPad Air, M5 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max, and new Studio Displays.

Priced starting at $599, the MacBook Neo is powered by the A18 Pro chip, which was first introduced in the iPhone 16 Pro back in 2024. This marks the first time a Mac has been powered by an iPhone chip, but Apple assures customers that the A18 Pro offers up to 50% better performance for everyday tasks compared to PCs with Intel’s latest Core Ultra 5 processor. Initial benchmarks suggest that the MacBook Neo’s single-core performance rivals that of Apple’s M4. Additionally, the 13-inch aluminum chassis provides superior heat dissipation compared to a 6.3-inch iPhone.

The MacBook Neo features a stunning 13-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2408 × 1506 and 500 nits of brightness, along with an anti-reflective coating. Weighing just 2.7 pounds, the laptop is available in four stylish colors – silver, indigo, blush, and citrus – with matching keyboard accents and wallpapers.

Connectivity options include two USB-C ports (one USB 2 and one USB 3), a headphone jack, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 6. The laptop also boasts a 1080p camera, dual beamforming microphones, Spatial Audio speakers, and up to 16 hours of battery life.

The MacBook Neo comes with 8 GB of RAM and offers two SSD storage options: 256 GB with a standard Magic Keyboard for $599, and a 512 GB SSD option with Touch ID for $699. Customers with educational discounts can enjoy a $100 discount on both configurations.

Customers in Europe, Asia, and other regions can now place orders for the MacBook Neo on the Apple Store app or website for in-store pickup.

As of now, Apple stores in the UK and the US are showing availability for in-store pickup. However, availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, so customers are encouraged to act fast.

Ordering a MacBook Neo for in-store pickup is a straightforward process. Customers can choose their preferred configuration, select a pickup date, and complete the purchase online. Upon arrival at the store, they will need to present their order number and a government-issued ID.

Alongside the MacBook Neo, other new Apple products are also hitting stores today, offering customers a wide range of options to choose from.
