Meta’s new One subscriptions put a price on social media and AI

Meta Launches Subscription Bundles for Its AI Assistant Muse

Meta has introduced subscription bundles for its new AI assistant Muse, following its recent launch. These bundles combine standalone app subscriptions with additional AI usage, catering to individual users, creators, and businesses globally. The company emphasizes that the core experience on its apps and Meta AI will remain free, with the option to access subscriptions for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp separately. Meta also plans to expand the bundles in the future to include features like “Edits, AI glasses, and more.”

Subscription Options for Individual Users

For individual users, Meta offers two subscription bundles – Core for $7.99 per month and Premium for $19.99 per month. These bundles include Instagram Plus, WhatsApp Plus, and Facebook Plus, along with enhanced media generation capabilities using Meta AI. Users can enjoy features such as image generation with Muse and in-app AI functionalities like Instagram’s Restyle. The pricing of these bundles is more cost-effective compared to purchasing the standalone subscriptions individually.

Subscription Plans for Creators and Businesses

Meta has also introduced Meta One subscriptions tailored for creators and businesses, priced between $14.99 and $499 per month. These subscriptions include the individual app subscriptions along with exclusive perks such as a bold follow button, a verified badge, improved search result rankings, and protection against fake impersonation accounts.
