Apple’s Upcoming OLED Transition: What to Expect for the iPad Mini’s Price
Apple Plans to Introduce OLED Screens on iPad Mini and MacBook Pro
Apple is reportedly gearing up to equip the iPad Mini with an OLED display by next year, accompanied by a potential price hike of up to $100, as per Gurman’s insights. The transition to OLED technology on other Apple devices, however, may take some time, with reports suggesting that an OLED-enabled MacBook Air is not expected to debut until 2028. In the meantime, Apple is said to be focusing on upgrading the iPad Air first.
But Apple’s OLED ambitions don’t end there. According to Gurman, the tech giant is also contemplating integrating OLED screens into a touch-enabled MacBook Pro, with a potential launch window in late 2022 or early 2027. It might still be a while before OLED displays become a standard feature on Apple’s consumer laptops and tablets.
