Nintendo has recently rolled out a fresh update for Mario Kart World, introducing custom item rules and various enhancements to their lively racing title.

General

  • The addition of “Custom Items” to the item rules, allowing players to customize which items appear during gameplay. This feature is applicable in modes such as “VS Race,” “Balloon Battle,” “Coin Runners,” and “Room” within “Online Play” or “Wireless Play.”
  • Display of music track name and source title on the Pause Menu while a track is playing.
  • Inclusion of “Music Volume” setting under “Settings/Controller.”
  • Players congregating in an “Online Play Room” can now partake in “Race,” “Knockout Tour,” and “Battle,” with a limit of 4 players per activity.
  • Enabling players to join friends engaged in “Knockout Tour” from the “Friends” section in “2p” and “Online Play.”
  • Introduction of “Restart” and “Next Race” options in the Pause Menu for “VS Race” in “Single Player.”
  • Ability to access “Photo Mode” from the Pause Menu in “Race against Ghost” within “Time Trials.”
  • Altered the course layout for specific races in “VS Race” or “Race” in “Online Play” or “Wireless Play,” emphasizing courses that lead to “Koopa Troopa Beach.
  • Enhanced gameplay mechanics such as dashing on Manta Ramp’s back, avoiding collision with Dragoneel in Bullet Bill form, and restrictions on using multiple Boos simultaneously.
  • Shortened respawn times for Dash Food and coins placed on water surfaces.

Fixed Issues

  • Resolved discrepancies in dash time post Charge Jump and player interactions with walls and obstacles.
  • Addressed various issues related to gameplay mechanics, character movements, and visual distortions.
  • Implemented fixes for communication errors, player misplacements, and vehicle glitches during races.
  • Several other bug fixes and optimizations to enhance overall gameplay experience.
