2026 Audi RS3 Competition Limited: Outlandish swansong for five-cylinder power

The 2026 Audi RS3 Competition Limited is a special model that marks the end of an era for the German automaker’s iconic five-cylinder engine. Available in both Sportback and Sedan body styles, only 750 units will be produced globally, with Australia receiving 18 of them.

While the pricing for the RS3 Competition Limited has not been confirmed, it is expected to be significantly higher than the standard RS3 model. The car comes equipped with advanced coilover suspension, which includes unique components such as twin-tube dampers, larger shock-absorber tubes, and a stiffer anti-roll bar.

Audi has a history of offering special suspension setups in their generation-ending RS models, and the RS3 Competition Limited is no exception. The car will come with a road-biased setup as well as a recommended ‘track’ tune, with a toolkit provided for owners to adjust the suspension settings and ride height.

In terms of design, the RS3 Competition Limited features matte-effect carbon fiber accents on the exterior, unique body colors, and special Neodymium Gold alloy wheels. The interior of the car is also distinctive, with a combination of Neodymium Gold and Ginger White accents, as well as matte-carbon-backed RS sports seats.

Under the bonnet, the RS3 Competition Limited is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine producing 294kW of power and 500Nm of torque. The car retains the same performance figures as the standard RS3 but has a higher speed limiter of 290km/h.

Unfortunately, the 2026 RS3 Competition Limited will be the last car to feature Audi’s legendary five-cylinder engine, as the company will no longer continue production due to strict European emissions laws. This marks the end of an era for the RS3 model as we know it.
