The Complete Guide: Everything You Need to Know
The BMW iX3 Is Coming to America: Here’s What You Need to Know
If you’ve been eagerly anticipating the arrival of the BMW iX3 in the United States, your wait is almost over. Recent updates provide a clearer timeline for the launch than ever before. BMW of North America is gearing up to start taking orders in June, with deliveries expected to follow a few months later.
Dealerships across the country received additional information from BMW corporate this week. The official US pricing and online iX3 pages are projected to go live in late April or early May. Detailed documents outlining the available trims, packages, options, and pricing will be distributed to dealers in advance, serving as a comprehensive resource for potential buyers.
May: Exclusive Dealer Unveiling Events
May will see the launch of formal “unveiling” events for the BMW iX3. These events will be more focused on marketing and promotion, as pricing and ordering guides will already be available. Expect test drives, media coverage, and extensive social media engagement during this period.
By June, most dealerships are expected to have one or two iX3 models on display for test drives. However, these initial vehicles will not be available for purchase at this stage, as dealers have been instructed not to sell them yet.
In June, the full “build your own” configurator will go live, allowing customers to customize their vehicle and view real-time pricing. BMW will also start accepting orders and deposits during this month, enabling customers to secure their preferred configuration as soon as the ordering tools are operational.
September: Commencement of US Production
American-spec BMW iX3s are scheduled to begin production in early September. This aligns with BMW’s overall manufacturing schedule and underscores the company’s commitment to a successful US launch.
Late September / Early October: First Deliveries
If all goes according to plan, the first US customers can anticipate receiving their iX3s in late September or early October. The tight timeline between production start and delivery suggests BMW is confident in a smooth production ramp-up.
While timelines in the automotive industry are subject to change, we will keep you informed of any updates or alterations to the schedule.
