Are you ready for a frightful adventure in Fortnite? Epic Games has announced the arrival of Fortnitemares 2026, and it’s filled with spooky surprises that will send shivers down your spine.

Get ready to face your fears with the much-anticipated Five Nights at Freddy’s collaboration, featuring your favorite horror mascots. But that’s not all – Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street, Hazbin Hotel, Obsession, and more are also making their way into the game.

These terrifying additions are not just for show – they come with unique gameplay modes across Battle Royale, Horde Rush, and Reload. Look out for special overrides that allow you to cloak while sprinting, deal more damage as your health decreases, and even disguise yourself as a Halloween prop.

A new weapon, the Bonerattler SMG, adds to the thrill by allowing you to see enemies through walls. And if you can find and defeat Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare Neighbourhood, you’ll unlock his Nightmare ability, letting you teleport and slash through your opponents with ease.

Starting October 8th, Horde Rush will return with a ‘nitemare’ theme, while Fortnite Reload will take you back to Nitemare Island, Stranger Things, and Squid Grounds for more spooky adventures.
