Google HiLight: A Closer Look at its Current Functionality and Future Updates

Upon its launch, Google HiLight came with limited functionality, leaving users wondering about its potential. It seemed as though Google had focused on the hardware aspect but overlooked the possibilities it could offer.

Currently, the primary use of Google HiLight is to receive notifications when a preferred contact is calling or when engaging with Google Gemini.

Exciting developments are on the horizon as Google plans to enhance the capabilities of HiLight, making it more versatile and user-friendly.

Recent findings in the Android 17 QPR2 Beta 5 code hint at upcoming improvements for Google HiLight, as discovered by Android Authority.

The updates suggest that HiLight will soon support additional color options, expanding from the current five colors. This aligns with the known capabilities of the hardware to offer more color choices.

Presently, users have access to Teal, Yellow, Pink, Purple, and White colors. The upcoming additions are speculated to include Blue, Red, and two shades of Green, based on leaked information.
