Red Flag Soars into Russia: Guoya Sedan with V6 and V8 Power
Hongqi to Launch Flagship Sedan Guoya in Russian Market
Hongqi, the prestigious luxury brand from China, is gearing up to make its mark in the Russian automotive market. The company’s flagship sedan, the Guoya, is set to debut with two engine options – V6 and V8.
Reports suggest that Hongqi has developed these engines in-house, focusing on a twin-turbo design to enhance performance. The engines aim to deliver improved throttle response, minimal lag, high torque, and a comfortable driving experience.
The entry-level option is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, generating an impressive 380 horsepower and 570 Nm (420 lb ft) of torque. This powertrain enables the full-size luxury sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 5.5 seconds.
On the other hand, the top-tier offering is the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. With 476 horsepower and 680 Nm (501 lb ft) of torque, the high-performance Guoya can sprint from 0-100 km/h in only 4.5 seconds. Beyond speed, the refined power delivery and reduced turbo lag promise a thrilling driving experience.

Established in 1958, Hongqi, which translates to “Red Flag,” has a rich history of producing vehicles for China’s elite. Now, the brand is venturing into the global market, with the Guoya sedan poised to make its debut in Russia this year.
Stay tuned for the arrival of the Hongqi Guoya in Russia, offering a blend of luxury, performance, and sophistication.
